What is GEICO’s market share?

Geico was founded in 1936 to provide low-cost insurance to federal employees, but it has since made policies available to all drivers. According to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the auto insurance giant held 14.31% of the market share in 2021, writing nearly $37.4 billion in insurance premiums.

Is GEICO a good company?

One star is far too much. Geico has fairly decent benefits, profit sharing and tuition reimbursement.. Pay is below the poverty level. There isn't an employment law they don't break. Google all the lawsuits. They don't follow their own core values. You will never get paid for the actual hours you are required to work.

Can I buy shares in GEICO?

You can’t buy shares directly in GEICO. It’s a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. The only way to participate in GEICO is to get a policy and invest in Berkshire Hathaway stock.
